NIT Naval Interior Team won The Sustainability Award during the Cruise Ship Interiors Expo in London on November 30th. NIT was nominated for the CSI Awards finals with the Carbon Footprint Calculation, which was voted as the winner by the public.
Carbon Footprint Calculation is a remarkable, first-of-its-kind service for calculating the environmental impact of ship interiors. It enables to identify the factors with the most significant carbon footprint and to research alternative materials, helping customers to reduce emissions.
“This award is not only for NIT’s success but for the whole industry. I’m happy to see how the awareness of sustainability has risen remarkably in recent years,“ says Sebastian Lagerlöf, Managing Director. “We all need to become green and more sustainable, and we are happy to help you do so.“
The Sustainability Award is a significant tribute to the pioneers of greener shipbuilding. NIT’s Carbon Footprint Calculation connects industry stakeholders and fosters collaboration for the common goal of reducing carbon emissions.
